Close to Seattle
Center for wooden boats - no surprise this is all about building boats! Occasional general classes including for women only
Seattle Makers - these guys have CNC machines if that’s your thing
Kids Carpentry - specially for the young ones. No power tools!
Tool libraries often also have tool instruction classes and even small shops you can use
A little further afield
Port Townsend School of Woodworking - great weekend trip to the peninsula. A wide range of different classes.
Foss Waterway seaport - down in Tacoma - mostly boat related but the occasional general woodworking class
North Central Washington Woodshop - over the mountains in Cashmere, WA
BARN - a short ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island. Also much more than woodworking here.
Arbutus folk school - down in Olympia. They also have cool non woodworking classes.
Serious woodworking qualifications
Seattle Central Wood technology - degree and certificate programs for carpentry, boat building and residential constructions
Port Townsend School of Woodworking - check out the 12 week intensive classes
