In addition to all the large professional floor standing tools we have an extensive set of other power tools and most woodworking essentials. All members have access to bins of remaindered or donated plywood and lumber and we provide glue, screws, nails and sandpaper within reasonable limits for in shop use only. We provide storage for materials and projects while they are in progress.

To help control the load on the shop, manage machine usage and for us to plan our time we ask members to make appointments to use the shop. Appointments, opening hours and live shop calendar can be found on our appointments page.

Individual Membership

For those who use the shop often, a full membership is the best value per hour.

You may purchase any of three monthly quantities:
8 hr/month $128 + $16 per additional hour
20 hr/month $265 + $13.25 per additional hour
45 hr/month $468 + $10.40 per additional hour

Family Membership

Share the woodworking projects with your family. This membership package provides a block of hours to share between 2 or more people whenever they are in the shop. Each additional family member must sign up for the Additional Family Member membership and attend a certification class.

You may purchase any of three monthly quantities:
10 hr/month $145 + $15 per additional person + $16 per additional hour
24 hr/month $303 + $15 per additional person + $13.25 per additional hour
50 hr/month $505 + $15 per additional person + $10.40 per additional hour

Pay by Use Membership

If you expect to use the shop infrequently then choose the $15 per month Pay by Use membership. Subscriptions renew automatically on the first of the month unless canceled.

The monthly fee covers our insurance and membership costs and shop time is $45 per hour and will be invoiced after usage .

This membership is the best value if you will average 3 hours or less per month. It’s a great membership if you have your own shop and just need occasional access to some of our larger machines.

Required Certification

Certifications are short lessons on the major equipment listed below.  Once certified you own the right to use the piece of equipment any time without notification. We teach you all of the standard functions of each machine, shop conventions, and safety. The certification class is available to purchase at the same time as your membership

*If you are fully absent for two years you will be required to take a coaching session to refresh your knowledge on the tools you are certified on.

General Member Policies

  • All members are required to complete our certification training class to ensure the safety of you, the machines and others in the shop and of course to keep the insurance and lawyers happy.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically on the first of each month unless cancelled.

  • Hours expire at the end of the month and do not roll over.

  • If you use more than your monthly hours you will be invoiced same hourly rate as your current membership at the end of each month

  • You may switch between the different hour plans at any time with your new plan effective on the 1st of the next month

  • You may cancel at any time - cancellation is effective at the end of the month.

  • Refunds will only be considered within 7 days of payment as long as you have not used the shop at all. Our credit card handling fee will be deducted.
