About our Shop Drawings

Our plans sets include three dimensional renderings, traditional two dimensional drawings with dimensions, and an organized parts list. IF you choose to use our shop for your project we can produce a customized set of any of these plans. We charge an hourly fee at our standard rate for mentoring for plans modifications and will give you an estimated cost. Starting with an existing plan is much less expensive than starting from scratch.

This Bedside or Sofa End table is 18 1/2" Wide, 30 1/2" deep, and 26" High. It is derived from a smaller version designed for our first ever formal woodworking class, that serves best between two chairs. This one is a sturdier version that is much deeper which makes it more suitable as a bedside or sofa table that has room for a lamp and space in front of the lamp.

This piece is 13" long by 6 3/8" wide by 10" high, with two internal compartments separated by a divider. The parts are joined with half lap joints and dados that add considerable strength to withstand jostling and the weight of the beer.

The handle can be outfitted with a longer rope so that it can be carried over your shoulder.

If you build this at IsGood: For this item we have built a "one saw factory" to instantly set up each joinery opperation with blocks fitted to the saw. Once the material is processed and cut to length it only takes a few minutes to do the lap joints and dados.

It can be assembled easily with domino joints, or it can be screwed together with wooden plugs to cover the screw holes.

This piece is 18 1/2" long by 7 1/2" wide, with two internal compartments separated by a divider with integrated handle. Originally it would have been used for carrying flatware and other small items around a Shaker community's dining room.

The design is derived from a piece illustrated in Ejner Handberg's Shop Drawings of Shaker Furniture and Woodenware, Vol. I (Berkshire Traveler Press, 1973). It has been slightly adapted to place the bottom boards in an internal groove, and box joints have been used at the corners rather than the original butt joints.

This sturdy traditional farm table is 38” wide, 72” long and 30” high. It comfortably seats six people and can handle eight with one at each end. For those who choose to build this table at IsGood Woodworks we can modify those dimensions, as well as others, for a very reasonable fee, and print you a custom set.
The set contains three suggested leg variations that can easily be substituted for the legs shown. Nothing else needs to change to modify the shape of the legs. This is very popular choice for reclaimed wood, in which case the patina and distressing is usually left on the surface.
